Course Information

The price includes all training and re-assessment for the following three modules:

  • OFT101 Domestic/light Commercial Pressure Jet Appliance Commissioning and Servicing.
  • OFT105e Domestic Oil Firing Installation and Energy Conservation Measures in Buildings
  • OFT 600A Domestic and Non-domestic Oil Storage and Supply Installation

It also includes lunch, drinks, and the certification fees. The course typically takes four days for an experienced installer.

Installers aiming to remain OFTEC registered as domestic/light commercial oil firing system service technicians of pressure jet burners.

Heating engineers wanting to keep their OFTEC registration as domestic and/or light commercial oil firing tank installation technicians.

All candidates require the OFTEC Manuals (Technical Books) 1, 2, 3, 4, and Domestic Heating Design which can be added to the basket for a reduced price.

If you completed the course around five years ago, you may have older versions of the books so please ensure you have purchased the updates or latest edition manuals.

Please note, that if you do not bring these books with you then they will need to be purchased at the standard price on the day.

OFT101 Domestic/light Commercial Pressure Jet Appliance Commissioning and Servicing.

This course is for technicians who wish to continue servicing and commissioning pressure-jet appliances. The vast majority of household boilers fall into this category. The course covers a variety of areas, including health and safety, fire valve installation, regional legislation and requirements, safe electrical isolation, oil storage and supply, appliance installation, knowledge of heating systems, and practical servicing and commissioning. This course is normally run over three days (including assessment).

OFT105e Domestic Oil Firing Installation and Energy Conservation Measures in Buildings

This course is for technicians who wish to continue installing oil-fired appliances such as boilers and AGAs. Areas covered by this course include health and safety, fire valve installation, regional legislation and requirements, safe electrical isolation, knowledge of oil storage and supply, appliance installation, heating systems, and energy efficiency. The course is normally run over two days (including assessment).

OFT 600A Domestic and Non-domestic Oil Storage and Supply Installation

This course is for technicians who wish to continue installing oil tanks and associated pipework and equipment. Areas covered by this course include health and safety, fire valve installation, regional legislation and requirements, safe electrical isolation and oil storage and supply. The course is normally completed in one day (including assessment).

The course is accredited by Cert-ain Certification Limited (CCL) and allows you to remain OFTEC Registered.
